"Your Smile" is the title of the newest song by Dave, it was produced together with Paul Minard.

Same Same

While their first single "Supermodel" hasn't been this successful, their second single "Love Isn't" claimed the charts of the thai radio stations and reached number 1.

samesame Until the end of July the guys were on "Thailand High School Tour". Their last official appearance has been at the Mint's press conference on August the 3rd where Scott accomponied.

Inofficial it's said that the guys plan to publish an european and a canadian version of their first album called "The Meaning of Happy". The special thing about it is that the guys record a song together with one musician from these states as they did at their asian production together with a thai pop star. If there will be such a co-working-production at the european and canadian version is not sure yet though it's not sure if there will ever be one of these versions at all.

Scott Moffatt

scott moffatt Scott went to Thailand in about Aprill 2006. He produces some thai bands like "Slot Machine". He doesn't work on his own musical career right now after his album was published in the beginning of July.

He plans to go back to Los Angeles at the end of the year.

Dave Moffatt

After Dave moved to Winnipeg at the beginning of 2006, he played a role in the musical of "Miss Saigon" at the theater. He then moved to Calgary where he sang at a karaoke bar on three days a week. As some newspapers said (e.g. Vue Weekly) Dave joined the Coming Out Tour where drag queens, hypnotists and others appeared. Though no one knows if there were any shows or even if Dave did some gigs because some tour dates where chancelled.

Dave decided to move to Toronto and so he did a few days ago. His dog "Paige", which has been with him for a pretty long while, will surely be with him, too. To quote Dave he is not sure what to do with his life. He just moved there and wanna see what happens next. He doesn't have any plans on his musicial career at all. So we still have to wait what's Dave planning to do next.

New band of Clint and Bob

Clint and Bob formed a new band with the name SAME SAME. The first single is already published also. The first single is named "Supermodel". On the website www.samesamemusic.com is a short demo of this song. In the year 2003, the song exists already as a demo version, at that time with the band Hidell. That song had at that time the title "Know You Better".

Presently it is probably planned to remain with the band in Thailand only. About plans that they will play also outside of Thailand, is nothing known. Currently Scott, Clint and Bob are in Canada and to take part again at the "Holiday Train". More information to the "Holiday Train" finds you on this website:

New project of Bob and Clint

STARZ is a new project, which should help to spread the English language in Asia strongly. In order to increase the motivation to learn the English language, it is planned to start in the next year a large competition in Thailand. In this competition, all students who go in Thailand on the High School can show how well they can sing in English language. The project will start in January 2006 and will go until the end of April. In the year 2007 is planned to start the project STARZ also in other countries in Asia.

In the project Bob Moffatt is the Director and Clint Moffatt is the Associate Director. Moreover Frank Moffatt, father of the Moffatts, is the marketing director.

Dave not in the next round

In this week, the 2nd group had to begin at Canadian idol in order to qualify for the next round. Altogether 1.4 million votes were submit. After already the jury had negatively expressed about the Performance of Dave, the callers were also not on his side. In the show, the candidates were accompanied only of a piano. How well the Performance of Dave was can you evaluate on that web page www.cisongs.com/canadianidol3/group2.html. Here you can see the performances of all candidates as video or you can listen it as mp3.

Dave has itself now only a slight chance for the Top 10 to qualify. Respectively 2 candidates are selected end the 4 groups directly into the Top 10. The last both places are forgiven on the 12 July in an extra show.

Dave Moffatt in the Top 32

On the 08 June, the Top 32 were introduced at Canadian Idol. Dave is one of them. Together with another candidate he sang the duet "From This Moment". Wherewith he could the jury convince. Dave said joking after the Performance: "We looked each other in the eyes and it was pretty much sex on stage".

On the webside http://www.ctv.ca/idol/gen/Competitor.html find you the list of all candidates they get into the Top 32. If your clicks on the names, you can read interviews with the candidates. Here finds its answers also very interesting of Dave.

In the next weeks elimination shows take place, in which the viewer decide per telephone about who come into the Top 10. The 32 candidates are divided in 4 groups each with 8 persons. 2 of each group qualify directly for the Top 10. The last 2 places are forgiven in a show on the 12 July. Subsequently begin 9 shows in which respectively a candidate will be eliminate.

Dave is in the next round at "Canadian Idols"

Dave overcame the elimination contest and is under the last 187, they are in the next round. Of the Casting in Winnipeg, where Dave had participated, are advanced only 18 participants.

Originally only 100 should be it, that come into the "TOP 100". Now 187 candidates come into the next round. The 187 candidates begin now in Toronto to a further selection round. Here the 32 participants are determined, who come into the next round. Consequently already further 155 participants eliminate here.

Dave participate by "Canadian Idol"

"Canadian Idol" is the Canadian version of "Deutschland sucht den Superstar". On the official website of Canadian Idol, a current interview with Dave finds it.

Since beginning of February a 13 week preselection runs, which take through 13 Canadian cities. In the 2nd Canadian Idol production, almost 10,000 candidates participated in the last year.

A jury of 4 judges select the "Top 100" from the participants. From these 100, 32 come into the semi final. In the progress of several weeks, the 10 finalists will be selected of the spectators. From the 10 finalists will be determined then the 2 candidates, who stand in September in the large finale.

There is another new Moffatt website

Since a couple of days, now also again www.themoffatts.de is a correct Moffatt website. For some time this website was online already as a pictures gallery. Now it became again a real fan site.

For a short time, the new website of Jessie (purple people eater) is online. On the website you find the Birthday Tributes Videos 2004 that Jessie to the birthday of the Moffatts made this year.

For all Hidell and The Boston Post fans it gives songs in the area "downloads" 2 of Hidell and 4 of The Boston Post as mp3-File to download.

New rumors about the Moffatts

Presently there is not much news about the Moffatts. Rumors have it that Scott, Clint and Bob should together again as a band. Since after the break up of The Boston Post it gave information that Scott support Hidell. After Hidell broken up, Scott, Clint and Bob should work at new songs.

Whether the three will bring out a new album as The Moffatts and whether they will go again on tour, is however yet totally unclear. And if the rumors do verify it is not certain whether they will come also again to Germany. Already Hidell had planned that they wanted come to Germany an bring out a new album. It came to nothing.

And whether they have success with the reunion is presently also very questionable. The number of the Moffatts fans in Germany, Austria and in Switzerland might have become meanwhile very little. The number of the fans here in the Board and the bad score in the RTL-Voting, up-to-date place 22 of 25, let guess this.

At amazon.de, the album was offered only a short time. Don't know, if the CD will be delivered. The current release date is the 31.12.2004.

The album can be ordered at www.discoweb.com. It should be delivered also within less days. Because it officially not appeared in Germany, it will an Import-CD. Presently the CD is already in Spain, Canada and partially in Asia released.

Release confirm

on 17. September the manager of Hidell confirmed the dates:

the single "Going Down In Flames" will be released on 27. October
and the album "Up & Coming" will be released on 10. November
in Germany.

Already at the 22 September the single is sends to radio stations. Therefore the song should be heared at some broadcasters.

According to www.hidell.net the album will be released on the 13 October in Spain.

The Europe promo is cancelled until further notice. EMI has plans for the band to promote more in Canada, and then they will most likely be heading to the Asia's next.

According to rumor, Hidell (Clint & quaked) will come already middle August to Germany.
